Quick answer: Check if your device is in silent mode. This is the most common reason you can't hear word pronunciations in the app. Turn off silent mode and test again. If the problem continues, let us know.
Silent mode on your device can prevent app sounds from playing through your phone's speakers. That's usually why audio only works through headphones or external speakers.
For iPhone users:
Check if the silent switch is turned on:
- Look for a small switch on the left side of your device
- Or swipe down from the top-right corner to open Control Center and check the bell icon
For Android users:
Check if your device is in silent or vibrate mode:
- Press the volume buttons and look at the on-screen volume slider
- Make sure it's set to "Ring" mode, not "Vibrate" or "Silent"
- You can also check in Settings → Sound
Still no sound?
Once you turn off silent mode, the app's audio should work normally through your phone's speakers. If the problem persists even with silent mode off, please contact us for help.
